Kristina Spencer, DVM

Dr. Spencer, an upstate New York native, knew she wanted to be a veterinarian from a young age. Growing up around horses, and problem-solving through various medical conditions her own horse experienced, instilled a passion and desire to pursue a life of understanding and healing animals. Dr. Spencer completed her Bachelor of Science in neuroscience at the University of New Hampshire and then worked as a veterinary technician for two years before starting veterinary school. She received her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Minnesota College of Veterinary Medicine. Some of her favorite memories while in Minnesota were working with elk and white-tailed deer on surveillance and control of reportable cervid diseases.

Dr. Spencer worked at Hampstead Animal Hospital during veterinary school and fell in love with the hospital team and what the practice stood for — exceptional patient care, high-quality medicine, and compassion for both patients and clients. She feels excited and privileged to have joined the practice now as a veterinarian!

Within the field of veterinary medicine, Dr. Spencer is especially passionate about feline medicine, animal behavior and Fear Free practice, cardiology, geriatric medicine, and quality of life management. When not practicing veterinary medicine, Dr. Spencer enjoys saltwater fishing here in the North Atlantic Ocean, freshwater fly fishing, mountain climbing, photography, and exploring the beautiful national parks with her family. Dr. Spencer resides in Litchfield, NH with her fiance, two cats (Miles & Bean), Labrador Retriever (Titan), and Border Collie (Mako).
