Lisa Corti, DVM, DACVS, CCRP
Dr. Lisa Corti is a board-certified surgeon with close to 25 years of clinical veterinary experience. She graduated from Tufts School of Veterinary Medicine in 1994 and completed her Small Animal Surgery Residency in 2000 at Iowa State University. She worked in New Jersey for a few years and then came back to the North Shore of Boston. After working 14 years in a busy referral hospital, she decided to start her own traveling surgery business, North Shore Veterinary Surgery, LLC, to be able to spend quality time with her patients, clients, and referring veterinarians.
Dr. Corti performs both orthopedic and general surgery at the most trusted of places, the primary care veterinarians’ hospital, and services the North Shore of Boston and southern New Hampshire. She is certified to perform PennHip radiographs and became certified as a Canine Rehabilitation Practitioner by the University of Tennessee in 2006. Her VetStem certification was completed in January 2019 which allows her to do stem cell therapies using patients’ own fat tissue. In addition to her traveling surgeon duties, Dr. Corti teaches at North Shore Community College in Danvers, MA in the Veterinary Technology Program as an adjunct Professor. She is passionate about pain management in both cats and dogs, utilizes advanced analgesic techniques as part of her anesthesia protocols, and continues to educate herself on multimodal ways to treat acute and chronic pain in small animals. Her additional interests are in reconstructive skin surgery, tendon and ligament injuries, and the medical treatment of joint dysplasia and osteoarthritis.
Dr. Corti lives on the North Shore of Boston with her husband, two children, two cats, and one dog. She competes in OCR or obstacle course racing and running, and enjoys snowboarding, playing board games with her family, and working on her Ancestry family tree.
